MOREHEAD, Ky. -- The Morehead State rifle team used its depth Sunday against Army as five different members were on the counting squads for air rifle and smallbore, but the Eagles came up just short against the Cadets from West Point, falling 4640-4614.
In air rifle, freshman
Karly Potts fired a team-high 587, followed closely by sophomore Siarra Crum with a 583. Junior
Haley Wilson also carded a 583, and freshman
Jesse Moyer came in right behind at 582.
In smallbore, the Eagles got a pair of 571s from juniors
Seth Baker and
Joe Fischer.
Next up for the Eagles is a home matchup with Murray State on Saturday.
