MOREHEAD, Ky. – Morehead State women's basketball (5-2) will embark on its first out-of-state road trip to face No. 16 West Virginia (7-0) on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. ET in Morgantown, W. Va.

"West Virginia is going to have some difficult matchups," said head coach Greg Todd. "The biggest thing for us is to keep grinding."

The Eagles are scheduled to face their second nationally ranked opponent on the road in four games, after falling to then-No. 20 Kentucky on Nov. 23. Morehead State lost at West Virginia last season, despite leading the Mountaineers 26-18 after the opening quarter.

Eriel McKee leads the Eagles with 11.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game, followed closely by Brianna McQueen, who averages 11.3 points and 5.7 assists.

Morehead State comes into Wednesday ranked fifth in three-point field goal percentage defense (19.2 percent) and No. 7 in field-goal percentage defense (31.3) in NCAA Division I. Junior forward Brooke Todd leads the nation in blocked shots (27), and ranks No. 5 in blocks per game (3.86).
