MOREHEAD, Ky. - Morehead State men's basketball (4-9) opens OVC play at UT Martin (10-6, 0-1) on Saturday night at 7 p.m. ET.

The Eagles are 0-2 in their last two OVC openers, both losses coming to Murray State. In the last five years, they are 2-3 in openers, both wins coming versus SIUE.

They have not opened at UTM since 2009-10 (W, 74-66).

Morehead State is coming off of a 120-77 win over Asbury (Ky.) on Wednesday night.

Senior forward Treshaad Williams led the way in the win over Asbury as he finished with a career-high 24 points and was a perfect 12-of-12 from the floor. He also added eight rebounds.

Senior forward DeJuan Marrero recorded his sixth double-double of the season in the win, and the 13th of his career, with 16 points and 10 rebounds, while sophomore forward Lamontray Harris put up the first double-double of his career with 15 points and 14 rebounds.

After failing to score in double figures in the first five game, Harris has scored ten points or more in six of the last eight games. In those eight games, he is averaging 14.4 points and 6.6 rebounds, both rank second on the team during that span.

With 82.4 points per game, the Eagles lead the OVC and rank 35th in the country. In three of their four wins, they have scored more than 100 points. Their field goal percentage is .467, which ranks 4th in OVC, and their three-point field goal percentage (.373) ranks third.

The Eagles' assist-to-turnover ratio is 1.3, which leads the OVC. They are averaging 18.2 assists per game, which ranks first in the league and 18th in country. They had a season-high 29 assists in the win over UCA and 26 in the win over Asbury.

They have won the turnover battle in 10 of 13 games this season and their turnover margin is +2.1, which ranks third in OVC.

Junior guard Miguel Dicent leads the OVC with a 3.1 assist-to-turnover ratio and his 4.8 assists per game rank fourth in the OVC.

Senior guard Xavier Moon ranks third in the OVC in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.3) and 11th in scoring (14.5 points/game).

Morehead State is 34-15 all-time versus UT Martin and has won 11 of the last 13. Last season, the Eagles downed the Skyhawks at home, 64-58, but fell to UTM in the OVC semifinals, 83-70.
