RESULTS

MOREHEAD, Ky. --
Morehead State junior Ritchie Kruunenberg collected singles and doubles victories Saturday, but the rest of the Eagle men's tennis team absorbed setbacks in a 6-1 loss at Michigan State.

The Big Ten Spartans improved to 7-2 overall, while MSU slipped to 0-3.

Kruunenberg teamed with senior Gabriel Ruiz for a 6-3 doubles triumph on court one over Mac Roy and Michael Dube. The Netherlands native then outlasted Roy 6-3, 3-6, 10-7 at No. 1 singles.

Ruiz, senior Nick Mercer, senior Enrique Samudio, senior Garrett Mandrell and sophomore Tyler Edlin all fell in straight sets in their singles contests.

Morehead State is back in action next Saturday at 6 p.m. ET at Mississippi State.
