Â
"I was really proud of the effort from this team," said head coach
Kevin Fulton. "We really put a lot of work in the last two weeks and it showed today."
Â
The day began with aggressive play in doubles competition as the Eagles swept the Rockets, 3-0. Junior

Nick Mercer and
Enrique Samudio rounded out doubles play with a decisive 6-1 win over Vince Anzalone and Stephen Miller.

Â
In singles play, Penaloza defeated Pejovic in straight sets (7-6, 6-2). Samudio and Miller split the first two sets, but Samudio regained momentum and took the third and deciding set, 6-3.
