On the matchup with Davidson -- "Davidson is an extremely talented and physical team. They have some dangerous guys at the skilled positions. We have to take care of the ball again and not make so many mistakes."

GAME NOTES

THE DAVIDSON SERIES
Morehead State leads the series with Davidson 12-6 and owns a five-game winning streak over the Wildcats. In fact in those five games, MSU has won by an average margin of 39.8-14.0. The Eagles are 6-2 all-time against Davidson in Morehead.

HOME ATTENDANCE LEADERS
Morehead and the region have shown tremendous support for the Eagle football program, and in fact MSU has led the Pioneer Football league in attendance for four consecutive seasons. Last year, MSU averaged 5,736 and averaged 6,401 in the first four games in 2017 - again leading the league.

MILLENNIUM MAN
Sophomore Jaunyea Tarver ranks second in the NCAA FCS Division in kick return yardage. In fact, Tarver (1,039 yards) is one of only two FCS players with more than 1,000 yards and is one of only nine in all of NCAA FBS, FCS, II and III to eclipse the century mark in kick return yards.

CLIMBING THE CHARTS
Redshirt junior QB Lawson Page owns the 12th-best single-season passing total in program history now with 2,469 yards. Page's career-best 427 yards at Marist is the second-best single-game passing effort in the PFL this year, behind only the 445-yard game by Drake's Grant Kraemer.

A BURST FROM HURST
Redshirt freshman receiver Landon Hurst has averaged 78.7 yards per game in the last four contests. He had career-highs in catches (7) against Stetson and Marist.

ONE OF THE BEST SEASONS EVER AT RECEIVER
Junior wide receiver Jarin Higginbotham leads the conference in yards per catch at 19.2 and ranks fourth in yards per game at 86.5. Higginbotham totaled a career-best 137 yards at Marist and now has four 100-yard receiving games this season. His yards-per-game average is the third-best single-season total right now in program history.

YOU GOT COOK'ED
Senior cornerback Braylyn Cook leads all active players with 46 career passes defended, and that ranks tied for third among all active players at the FCS level.

GET THAT OUTTA HERE
Junior cornerback Chauncey Johns leads the entire PFL with 13 passes defended.

A STARR IS BORN
Freshman safety Starr Hutcherson finds himself as the leading tackler on the defense in his first collegiate season. He has started the last five games and has piled up 61 total stops this year, and of those, 40 are solo stops.

NICK HAS THE KNACK
Junior defensive tackle Nick Flores leads the team with nine tackles for loss (for minus 37 yards). Of those stops, three have been sacks, also for the team lead.
