It's Eagles vs. Eagles Thursday as Men's Basketball Hosts Alice Lloyd (Ky.)

MOREHEAD, Ky. -- It will be a matchup of Eagles Thursday night at Johnson Arena as the Morehead State men's basketball team hosts Alice Lloyd (Ky.) at 6 p.m. ET in the first game of a men's-women's doubleheader.
Morehead State (1-5) will look to stay perfect at home after defeating Marshall on the home court earlier this season. Alice Lloyd is a member of the NAIA Division II River States Conference, and the Eagles are 7-1 this year. Timmy Dalton leads an offense that scores 100.1 points per game with 25.6 per outing.

GAME NOTES
THE ALICE LLOYD SERIES
This will mark just the second time Morehead State has faced Alice Lloyd in a regular-season game, with the Eagles winning 85-51 at home in 2007-18.
VERSUS THE ALMA MATER
Head coach
Preston Spradlin will be facing his alma mater in this game. He graduated from the school in Pippa Passes, Ky., in 2009.
NOV. 30 KIND TO THE EAGLES
Since the program began, Morehead State has played 11 games on Nov. 30, and the Eagles have won eight of those. The last game on Nov. 30 was last season, a home setback to Northern Kentucky.
HENSON HEATING UP
Sophomore guard
Djimon Henson scored just nine points in the season's first two games, but since then he has reached double figures in everty game. Henson led the Eagles with a season-best 17 points at Virginia Tech, nailing a career-high eight field goals. In the last three games, he shot 50 percent (16-of-32).
REBOUND U.
The Morehead State men have either led the Ohio Valley Conference or ranked second in rebounding margin 10 consecutive seasons. The Eagles won the board battle versus a much-taller on average Kentucky team 30-25 in the exhibition game and also grabbed 13 more (34-21) rebounds than Cincinnati Christian in that exhibition. In the first five games, they are only at +1.2, but the Eagles out-rebounded Marshall 49-28 and also out-boarded Virginia Tech.
KING OF THE GLASS
Junior forward
Londell King now has two career double-doubles after a 10-point, 12-rebound performance at Central Arkansas. He also scored 10 and secured 10 boards versus Marshall. Despite playing only 12.5 minutes per contest, King leads the Eagles with 7.8 rebounds per game.

Jordan Walker and junior point guard
A.J. Hicks are both averaging better than 30 minutes per game to rank among the Ohio Valley Conference leaders.
HOMETOWN PROUD
Sophomore guard
Djimon Henson scored a season-best 12 points, including 10 in the opening half, in his hometown of Indianapolis, at IUPUI on Nov. 21. Henson enters the ALC game with 10.0 points per game.
DISHING DIMES
Junior guard
A.J. Hicks handed out a career-best seven assists in the Eagles' 86-83 win over Marshall on Nov. 16. Hicks leads Morehead State with 17 assists in 2017-18.
NOT SO GREEN ANYMORE
Freshman forward
Malek Green is playing well beyond his years, averaging 8.8 points and 4.3 rebounds per game while shooting 59 percent fom the field. Green erupted for a career-best 16 points off the bench against Central Arkansas.
BURNING THE NETS
The Eagles shot a season-best 52 percent (31-of-59) at Central Arkansas, and that included another season best too - 9-of-21 from three-point range.
