LEXINGTON, Ky. --
The Morehead State rifle team wrapped up its 2016-17 season Saturday at an NCAA qualifier match against the No. 6-ranked Kentucky Wildcats. Air rifle highlighted the day as eight Eagle shooters hit the 580-or-better mark.

Morehead State finished with a 4,600 aggregate total. MSU shot 4,600 or higher in 10 of its 11 events this season after only registering that milestone three times in 2015-16.

Freshman Sarah Fink led the charge in air, firing a season-best 587. Junior Joe Fischer also established a career high with a 586. Freshmen Alexa Potts (583) and sister Karly (582), along with sophomore Brandon Bryer (582), also fired high marks.

In smallbore, Fischer led the way with a 575, while junior Dan Hall was right behind at 573.

The Eagles are set up to return their entire roster next season as there were no seniors on the 2016-17 team.
