MOREHEAD, Ky. - After spending the majority of the 2016-17 season as interim Marketing and Promotions Coordinator,
Lizzy Margagliotti has been named full-time Marketing and Promotions Coordinator.
"We're excited to add Lizzy to our external staff here at Morehead State," said Assistant AD for External Affairs
Brad Smith. "Her enthusiasm and energy coupled with being a former Morehead State student athlete will provide a unique perspective and help enhance our marketing and promotions areas."
She will handle game-day promotions as well as serving as a liaison to corporate partners. She will also be in charge of game-day scripts for the public address announcer, as well as planning and implementing promotions using the Daktronics video boards in Johnson Arena.
She also assists in the development and implementation of a marketing plan for all intercollegiate sports, plans and coordinates special events including pre-game and halftime promotional activities at athletic events, and generates additional revenue for athletic program via group ticket sales.
She is responsible for hiring and managing several student-interns, along with a graduate student, in the marketing department.
"I'm excited to start my professional career at a place that I can call home," said Margagliotti. "I am passionate about creating a positive and enjoyable atmosphere for our athletes, coaches, and fans here at Morehead State. The athletic staff has been a great support in my transition from a student-athlete to an employee and I am looking forward to the upcoming season."
A four-year member of the Morehead State softball team, Margagliotti was named to the OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll all four seasons. As a senior, she started 52 of 53 games and ranked second on the team with 25 runs batted in.
She graduated from Morehead State in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration on marketing.
