GAME NOTES
THE SIU EDWARDSVILLE SERIES
Morehead State owns an 8-1 advantage in the all-time series with the Cougars. The teams began playing in 2009-10. MSU and SIUE have only met once a season since 2011-12 due to the OVC's divisional scheduling. MSU has won six games in a row over SIUE, and the only loss in the series came on the road in 2011-12.
500 CLUB
Junior forward
Lamontray Harris eclipsed 500 points in his career in the game at Tennessee Tech on Dec. 28. Harris now has 527 career points. He also needs only 16 more rebounds to reach 300 boards for his career.
FREE THROWS ARE HIS SPECIALTY
Sophomore guard
Jordan Walker rarely misfires when he steps to the free throw line. He boasts a career free throw percentage of .844 (81-of-96). Prior to missing a pair on Thursday against Eastern Illinois, Walker had canned 26 straight charity tosses.
A DOUBLE DOUBLE-DOUBLE
Sophomore forward
Londell King opened conference play with back-to-back double-doubles at Tech and Jacksonville State, averaging 15.0 points and 13.0 rebounds. King leads the OVC in rebounding in the first three conference games at 11.3 per game.
REBOUND U.
The Morehead State men have either led the Ohio Valley Conference or ranked second in rebounding margin now in 11 consecutive seasons, and that trend is nearly holding true again this season after the Eagles out-boarded Alice Lloyd 62-18 and KCU 50-27. The are currently fourth in the conference at +3.7.
THREE-POINT STREAK
Morehead State has made at least one three-pointer in 357 consecutive games, dating back to Feb. 13, 2007 when the Eagles had an 0-for-17 day versus Jacksonville State.
HENSON'S CONSISTENCY
Sophomore guard
Djimon Henson has scored in double-digits in nine of the last 12 games, including a 23-point day against Alice Lloyd (Ky.) and a 22-point night at Butler.
KING OF THE HILL
Junior forward
Londell King recorded his fourth career double-double last Saturday at Jacksonville State. In the five home games, King so far has averaged 12.5 points and 7.9 rebounds.
THERE'S THE DIFFERENCE
