MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State football heads to North Carolina Saturday for a battle with upstart Davidson College. Kickoff is at 1 p.m. ET from Richardson Stadium.

The Eagles (1-4, 0-2 PFL) will face a Wildcat (5-1, 2-1) squad under new head coach Scott Abell. Abell has installed a "gun spread offense" which has the Wildcats leading the nation in rushing yards per outing. They put up 91 points in a game earlier this season. MSU also has the ability for a high-scoring game, ranking among the PFL's best teams in total offense and scoring.

The game can be heard live on the Eagle Sports Radio Network (WIVY-96.3 FM and WMST 106.9 FM / 1150 AM). Live video is provided by DavidsonWildcats.com.

QUOTING COACH TENYER

On preparing for Davidson
"We have to accept the next challenge. Davidson has not been traditionally strong in this conference, but they are off to a 5-1 start, and their coaching staff has done an amazing job.  We have to play more consistent football. That's what we are lacking right now.

On defensive challenges against Davidson
"This is our biggest discipline game to date. They are a little comparable to what Austin Peay did. But APSU ran 30 some sets. With Davidson you know what you get. They make it easy for them yet they are very, very effective. We are going to have our hands full. Every one of our guys has to be focused with their eyes up every play."

On what the offense can continue to improve on
"We still have to be better on third downs. And pass efficiency. Traditionally we have been one of the best passing teams in this league (PFL), and we have a little different look this year. But, some of our downfield throws and potential explosive plays, we are leaving some things out there."

THE ONE AND ONLY
Senior quarterback Lawson Page is the only quarterback in the Football Championship Subdivision to record multiple games with at least 200 yards passing and 100 yards rushing, accomplishing that feat in back-to-back games now. It's the third 200-100 game of his career. See the chart on page 3 for the complete list of 200-100 games by FCS QBs in 2018.

RUNNING WILD
Morehead State's 422 rushing yards on Sep. 8 against Mount St. Joseph were the most team rushing yards since setting the school record with 478 against Austin Peay in 2000. Lawson Page owns three 100-yard rushing games now in 2018 and ranks second among PFL QBs in rushing yards per outing. He also leads the PFL freshmen class in total rushing yards with 285.

TAKING IT TO THE HOUSE
Redshirt sophomore Aaron Turk's 92-yard kickoff return for a touchdown against Austin Peay was the second longest kick return for a score in program history and the first kick taken "to the house" since Brandon Bornhauser scooped up on onside kick and scored against Pikeville in 2014.
