Crockett Voted Preseason All-Confrence; Women's Basketball Tabbed Fourth By Coaches & SIDs
EVANSVILLE, Ind. – For the second consecutive season, Morehead State women's basketball senior Miranda Crockett was chosen as a member of the Preseason All-Ohio Valley Conference Team the league announced on Tuesday morning during its' media day event.
 
Crockett, a 5-foot-8 guard from Martinsville, Virginia, was named First Team All-OVC following the 2017-18 season when she averaged 14.9 points and 6.1 rebounds while leading her team to 21 wins. During the 17-18 season, the senior finished out the season ranked second in the conference with 105 rebounds and seventh in the steal category after swiping 55.
 
Crockett has scored over 1,000 points and played over 3,000 minutes while starting in 92-of-93 games during her first three seasons as an Eagle.
 
Morehead State was voted fourth in its' Preseason Coaches/Sports Information Directors Poll which was also released on Tuesday morning.
 
The Eagles finished fourth in the league last season after going 12-6 against OVC competition.
 
Morehead State has won 21 games in back-to-back seasons. Its' 42 wins during that span rank second in the league behind three-time defending OVC Tournament Champions Belmont.
 
Crockett and the Eagles kick off their 18-19 season on the road at North Carolina A&T on November 9. Morehead State's first home game is scheduled for Nov 16 against Valparaiso at 6:35 p.m. ET as part of the Vinewood Farm Classic at Johnson Arena.
