NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Thirteen total blocks and an opponent hitting percentage of .088 highlight Morehead State volleyball's sweep of Belmont on Friday night. The Eagles (13-5, 4-1 OVC) defeated the Bruins (0-17, 0-5) 25-14, 25-21, 25-19 in three sets.

Lauren Rokey (2) also picked up blocks for Morehead State en route to the third highest single-game block total on the year.
In addition to the Eagles posting their third-highest single-game block total, the Eagles also limited the Bruins to the third lowest opponent hitting efficiency of the season. Belmont connected on 29 kills on 119 swings on Friday while Morehead State forced 28 Bruin errors, the second-highest total forced by the Eagles on the season.

Allison Whitten paced the Eagles with 17 digs, while Clark also recorded double-digits with 14 digs. Clark added 33 assists on the night, recording her eighth double-double of the year. The double-double upheld her streak of recording a double-double in each week of the season.
Jones led the Eagles, slamming home 12 kills on the evening. By reaching double-digit kills, Friday night's match marked the seventh time Jones has reached double-digit kills. Lohmeier also reached double-digit kills for Morehead State, collecting 10 terminations. Wachtman (8) and Rokey (6) also recorded five or more kills for the Eagles while Clark (2), Fella (2), and junior middle blocker
Karlee Reynolds (1) all registered kills.
Morehead State returns to the court on Saturday, taking on Tennessee State to wrap the team's Nashville swing. Tennessee State (7-9, 5-0) enters the match off a sweep of Eastern Kentucky on Friday. First serve is set for 1 p.m. ET.
