MOREHEAD, Ky. –
For the final time this season, Morehead State volleyball will compete in the comforts of Wetherby Gym, hosting Tennessee State and Belmont to end the regular season. The Eagles (18-9, 9-5 OVC) swept both of the Ohio Valley Conference's Nashville schools, defeating the Bruins (5-21, 5-9 OVC) before downing the Tigers (8-17, 6-8 OVC).

A pair of wins this weekend would secure Morehead State its first 20-win campaign since 2013 as the Eagles look to secure their highest seeding for the OVC Tournament since being the #1 seed for the 2013 conference postseason. With 18 wins this season, the Eagles already hold the highest win total for the program since capturing 27 victories during the 2013 season as they currently sit third in the OVC standings.

The weekend also marks the final home matches for four Morehead State seniors: defensive specialist Alyssa Cecil, middle blocker Maddie Fella, right-side hitter Jordan Jones, and middle blocker Jessie Wachtman. Throughout their careers, as Eagles, the senior class has captured 53 total victories on the court while also capturing 12 OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll accolades and six OVC Medal of Honors in the classroom.

Wachtman enters the weekend coming off a pair of matches that saw her hit .404—hitting better than .350 in both matches—and collect a career-high 21 kills versus Murray State. On the season, she leads the OVC in hitting efficiency, posting an efficiency of .316. Wachtman is seeking to become the first Eagle to finish the season leading the league in hitting percentage since 2010 when Holly Evans finished the season hitting .364. As a team, Morehead State ranks second in the OVC, connecting at a .217 efficiency with five players hitting .200 or better.

Morehead State's offensive success is due in large part to its setter, redshirt sophomore Chandler Clark who captured her third OVC Setter of the Week accolade last week. Clark passed out 97 total assists, averaging 12.12 per set, totals that both led the league last week. Against Murray State, Clark became the first Eagle setter to eclipse 1,000 kills on the season, dishing out 59 total assists, one shy of her career-high.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Eagles possess the league's top block, leading the OVC in total blocks, blocks per set, and opponent hitting percentage. Morehead State has blocked 226.0 total attacks this year (2.28 per set) and is paced by Fella who's turned away 99 shots, an average of 1.34 per set. Her 1.34 blocks per set lead the conference while ranking 29th in the NCAA as Fella stands as one of only two players in the league deterring more than an attack per set.

Match times for the weekend's matches are set for 7 p.m. ET Friday night versus Tennessee State and 2 p.m. Saturday versus Belmont. Live stats for both matches will be available through MSUEagles.com while both matches will be streamed on the OVC Digital Network.
