Softball falls 8-0 to James Madison at Campbell Stampede

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Morehead State softball dropped its final game in the Campbell Stampede, falling 8-0 to James Madison Sunday morning.
 
The Eagles finished the weekend with a 3-1 record in the invitational hosted by Campbell.
 
Senior pitcher Chelsea McManaway absorbed the loss (4-1), her first of the season.
 
Junior Allison Rager and Kalle Coleman recorded the only two hits for the Eagles' offense. Coleman, a freshman infielder, hit a double in the fifth inning. 
 
Morehead State now sits at 6-2 overall for its 2018 campaign.
 
The Eagles will return to action Feb. 23 with a doubleheader against the Florida A&M Lady Rattlers.  The games are a part of the Bobbie Bailey Memorial Tournament, taking place in Kennesaw, Ga.
