MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State's men's basketball squad will look to finish the 2017-18 campaign strong on Saturday when rival Eastern Kentucky invades Johnson Arena. Game time is set for 2 p.m. ET.

Morehead State (7-21/3-14 OVC) is coming off a 70-53 triumph over UT Martin Thursday. Junior guard A. J. Hicks nearly had a triple-double with 15 points, seven assists and a school-record nine steals. MSU will look to even the season series with EKU, which edged it 75-73 two weeks ago in Richmond. While the Eagles cannot make the OVC Tournament field, they can prevent the Colonels from advancing by defeating them.

THE EASTERN KENTUCKY SERIES
Morehead State and Eastern Kentucky have met 185 times since 1930-31, MSU's longest-running series. The Eagles trail the Colonels 101-84, but Morehead State has won four of the last five in the series. The Eagles have won the last two meetings in Johnson Arena.
THREE-POINT STREAK MOVES AHEAD
Morehead State has made at least one three-pointer in 371 consecutive games, dating back to Feb. 13, 2007 when the Eagles had an 0-for-17 day versus Jacksonville State.
NO. 1 THIEF
Junior guard
A.J. Hicks set the Morehead State single-game record for steals Thursday when he swiped away nine from UT Martin. Hicks leads the Eagles with 48 takeaways in 2017-18.
SENIOR DAY
Morehead State will still celebrate senior day today despite no seniors on the active roster. Senior manager Lee Royse will be honored for working his final game.
BRING OUT THE BROOMS
Morehead State completed a season sweep over UT Martin with Thursday's 70-53 victory. it marked the Eagles first regular-season sweep of the Skyhawks since 2010-11. Coupled with the women's victory, that completed MSU's first total season (2 men's, 2 women's) wins over UTM in the same year since 2009-10.
