MOREHEAD, Ky. - Morehead State softball's Chelsea McManaway has been named Ohio Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week for the first time this season.

"As a senior, Chelsea is dialed in and has got some experience," said MSU head coach David Williams. "But, she's also improved since last year. She's really showing that she can build upon the great season she had and try to surpass it."

McManaway picked up a win in each of her two complete games on the week, including her second shutout of the season. The lefty from Wellston, Ohio recorded a 1.00 ERA in 14.0 innings, striking out 22 and walking four. The Eagles defeated Florida A&M 4-2 in the first of two contests last Friday, then blanked Big Ten foe Rutgers 6-0 last Saturday.
