MOREHEAD, Ky. --
Morehead State's men's basketball team will look to end a five-game streak and keep one going at the same time Saturday when the Eagles meet the Eastern Kentucky Colonels in Richmond at 7 p.m. ET.

MSU (6-18/2-11 OVC) has dropped five straight games but has won four in a row over EKU and will look to extend that to five against an EKU team it is tied with for the bottom spot in the league standings. EKU (8-18/2-11) has lost seven consecutive games.

The game will be live on the OVC Digital Network as well as WIVY-96.3 FM and MSUEagles.com.

GAME NOTES

THE EASTERN KENTUCKY SERIES
Morehead State and Eastern Kentucky have met 184 times since 1930-31, MSU's longest-running series. The Eagles trail the Colonels 100-84, but Morehead State has won four straight in the series.

THREE-POINT STREAK LIVES
Morehead State has made at least one three-pointer in 367 consecutive games, dating back to Feb. 13, 2007 when the Eagles had an 0-for-17 day versus Jacksonville State.

TURNOVER DILEMMA
Morehead State averages nearly 17 turnovers per game, but the Eagles have had five games of 11 or fewer turnovers. Interestingly enough, MSU is 0-5 in those games. On the other hand, the team has committed 20 or more mistakes in six games but is 4-2 on those nights.

NOT SO GREEN ANYMORE
Freshman forward Malek Green recorded the second double-double of his career on Thursday against Southeast Missouri. Green grabbed 10 rebounds, also his second straight game garnering double-digit boards.

COOPER IS SUPER
Freshman guard De'Von Cooper has been outstanding when he gets to the free throw line. Cooper shoots 83 percent but does not have enough attempts to qualify for the league rankings. He has hit 24 of his 29 free throws.

NOT MUCH WIGGLE ROOM
The Eagles boast four double-figure scorers on average and amazingly all four are within 1.1 points of each other. Jordan Walker leads the way with 11.3.

DISHING THOSE DIMES
Junior guard A.J. Hicks needs only three more assists to reach 100 for the season. Hicks would need 22 more handouts to break into the top 20 for season assists at Morehead State.

KING ME
Sophomore forward Londell King has been extremely efficient this season. He only averages 19.7 minutes of action but averages 8.4 points and 6.9 rebounds. King also leads the Eagles in field goal accuracy at .543 (70-of-129).
