MOREHEAD, Ky. –
After being unanimously named the OVC Baseball Player of the Week, Morehead State junior outfielder Connor Pauly picked up a second weekly honor. The Glenview, Ill., native was named the National Collegiate Baseball Writer's Association National Hitter of the Week.

In four games this week, Pauly led the Eagles, going 11-for-15 (.733) at the plate en route to four victories—each scoring in double digits. He drove in nine runs, scored ten, while pounding out six extra-base hits, including three doubles, a triple, and two home runs. Pauly led the Eagles with a team-high 1.467 slugging percentage and a .750 on-base percentage.

Pauly opened the week by going 3-for-4 with a triple, a home run and two RBI in a 14-11 win over over Marshall. In the series opener with UT Martin, he was 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI and made it a perfect two game-span by going 4-for-4 with a double, homer and three RBI in the second UTM contest.

Overall, he reached base in 15 of his 19 plate appearances in that span.

On the season, Pauly is batting .318 with a team high 11 doubles.

The award marks the second time this week an Eagle outfielder has been named a national player of the week, as junior Niko Hulsizer was named one of Collegiate Baseball's National Players of the Week.

Morehead State hits the road this week for a midweek contest at Butler (Wednesday) and a three-game set at SIU Edwardsville (Friday-Sunday).
