MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Taking time out of their spring match and workout schedule, Morehead State soccer participated in the Rodburn Hollow Park clean up this week.
The team helped pick up litter and cleaned trails in the park, located in Morehead.
The Daniel Boone National Forest originally established Rodburn Hollow Park, consisting of 13.6 acres, as a camping, hiking and recreational area for the public. Originally there were caretakers assigned the task of caring for the area.
In 1996 the National Forest System gave the park to the state. In July 2003 the state sold the park to the city of Morehead. The Morehead Department of Recreation has maintained the park since 2003.
Soccer, along with all other MSU teams have taken part in numerous community service efforts this year. The department will be taking park in 1,000 hours of community service soon.
