MOREHEAD,Ky. -- Morehead State football has added two new faces to its coaching staff. Blaine Macius and Jordan Huxtable will be joining the Eagles for the 2018 season.

Macius will be assisting as a defensive line coach and Huxtable will be serving as an assistant defensive backs coach.

Macius was an assistant football coach at Division III Elmhurst College from 2015 to 2018. He coached at Notre Dame College Prep prior to that in the fall of 2014. He also was a head coach for a top tier travel baseball team in Illinois.

He served as the defensive line coach, assistant recruiting coordinator, film coordinator, offensive scout team coordinator and summer camp coordinator for Elmhurst. He was the assistant football coach at Notre Dame College Prep where he served as the special teams coach and an offensive/defensive line coach.

Originally from Arlington Heights, Ill., Macius began his college career at Wabash College where he played defensive end his freshman and sophomore year before transferring as a junior. He graduated from Roosevelt University with a degree in biology and received his Masters degree in business from Elmhurst College.

Huxtable arrived to Morehead State after coaching at Elmhurst College for the 2017 season.

He spent the 2016 season at Northern Illinois University where he was an intern for the defensive back coaches, specifically assisting with the corners. A year prior to that he was a student coach/manager for Illinois State football.

The St. Charles, Ill., native began his college career at the University of Connecticut as a running back. He transferred to Northern Illinois his sophomore year to continue his career. He finished his junior and senior year at Illinois State University, receiving his bachelor degree in university studies.
