MOREHEAD, Ky.– Coming off an emotional 1-0 win over SIUE at home, the Morehead State soccer team is set to embark on a weekend road trip with games against Ohio Valley Conference foes Belmont and Eastern Kentucky.

The Eagles will travel to E.S. Rose Park in Nashville, Tennessee on Friday evening for a matchup with the Bruins that will get underway at 7:30 p.m. ET. That match will be streamed live on the OVC Digital Network.

 Morehead State's next stop will be Richmond, Kentucky for a match against the Colonels at the EKU Soccer Field at 1:00 p.m. ET. On Sunday in a game that will also air on the OVCDN.

Morehead State enters the weekend having just broken an eight-game losing streak. Senior forward
Dani Wilson netted a game-winning penalty kick with three seconds remaining to propel the Eagles to the one-goal, shutout victory.

Wilson leads the squad in goals scored with three and shots fired with 23. The senior has been particularly effective when taking shots with 17 of the 23 being on goal. Wilson's .739 shot on goal percentage ranks her ninth nationally in that statistical category.

In goal for Morehead State, redshirt-sophomore goalkeeper
Eva Helgadottir has been dominant. The 6-foot-2 native of Iceland, who recorded her first ever shutout in the 1-0 win over the Cougars on Sunday, currently ranks fifth nationally for saves and sixteenth for saves per game with 6.89.

Belmont enters the match with a 2-3-2 overall mark and is 0-0-1 in OVC play having recently tied Austin Peay 1-1 on the road on Friday. The Bruins are led by Heather Henson who is in her eighth season as head coach.

Eastern Kentucky welcomes the Eagles sporting a record of 4-5-1 and are 0-1-1 in OVC play. The Colonels were bested by SIUE 2-1 on Friday before playing Eastern Illinois to a 1-1 draw on Sunday. EKU is led by first-year head coach Nick Flohre.
