MEN'S RESULTS | WOMEN'S RESULTS
MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Senior Jarrett Mattingly claimed an individual win at the Evansville Invitational Saturday, while the women's team placed four runners in the top eight and won the team title as both teams competed at Angel Mounds State Historic Site.
Mattingly crossed the 8K finish line in 24:56.5, nearly 25 seconds ahead of a trio of Marshall finishers.
On the women's side, senior Allison Chinn (18:50.5), senior
Shelby Watkins (18:55.2) finished second and third, respectively. Juniors
Maggie Kiper (19:03.4) and
Olivia Chapman (19:04.3) also claimed top-8 efforts.
Freshman Garrett Watts also continued his impressive first season with a fifth-place showing in a time of 25:48.7. Junior Cody Chism came in 11th place with a time of 26:18.1.
Both teams will now train for the OVC Championships, set for Nov. 2 at SIU Edwardsville.
