MOREHEAD, Ky. --
Morehead State men's basketball will look to make it winning weekend at Johnson Arena when the Eagles host Austin Peay Saturday at 4:35 p.m. ET. Coming off a 78-72 victory over Eastern Kentucky, the Eagles can knock the Govs down some in the OVC standings with a win as the Govs claimed the first game in the season series earlier this year.

The game will air live on ESPN+ and WIVY-96.3 FM.

MSU (10-16/6-7 OVC) still holds onto the sixth spot in the OVC standings with the top eight teams heading to Evansville, Ind., for the tournament next month. The Govs (18-8/10-3) lost a narrow one to Murray State Thursday where they appeared to hit a bucket to send the game to overtime but replayed confirmed it was still in the shooter's hands when the lights went on for the final horn.

GAME NOTES

THE SERIES WITH THE GOVS
Morehead State leads the all-time series with Austin Peay 55-53, a series that began in 1963-64. The Eagles have won eight of the last 11 against the Govs and are 12-4 in the last 16 versus APSU since 2008-09. The Govs won this year's first meeting, 81-67, on Jan. 5.

WALKER NEARING THE 1K MARK
Junior guard Jordan Walker is now just 12 points away from becoming the 34th member of Morehead State's 1,000 career points club. Walker would join teammate Lamontray Harris, who eclipsed the 1,000 point threshold at Eastern Illinois on Feb. 1.

TRENDS AND TIDBITS
Jordan Walker has reached double-figures in points in 10 straight games and 17 of the last 18 games ... Walker has scored at least 18 points in five consecutive games ... A.J. Hicks dished out 10 assists against Eastern Kentucky, his third double-digit assist game this year ... James Baker has at least one blocked shot in 10 straight games and multiple rejections in six of those contests, including a career-best six swats against Eastern Kentucky ... Walker has 19 games this season with multiple assists.

BAKE ME A DOUBLE-DOUBLE
James Baker secured his first career double-double in the win over Eastern Kentucky Thursday, notching 14 points and tying for the team lead with 11 rebounds. He also blocked six shots.

3-POINT STREAK CONTINUES ON
Morehead State has hit at least one three-pointer in 398 consecutive games, dating back to 2007 when the Eagles were held without a made one from beyond the arc against Jacksonville State.

DOUBLE-DOUBLE TROUBLE
Lamontray Harris secured his ninth double-double of the season Thursday against Eastern Kentucky. He now has 17 double-doubles in his career and ranks fourth in that category among OVC players this season.

It's the most since current Houston Rocket Kenneth Faried totaled 15 performances of 20 or more back in 2010-11.
