BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Morehead State women's track team put the lid on the indoor portion of its season at the Ohio Valley Conference Championships at the Birmingham Complex.
 
Junior Caitlin Cunningham brought home a fourth-place overall finish in the 3,000-meter run, clocking in at 10:05.50. The performance by the Murfreesboro, Tenn., native is the highest individual finish at the championships since the program was reinstated back in 2017.
 
Elsewhere, Dakorria Winstead continued her streak of consistency, bringing home a fifth-place finish overall in her heat on day one of the 60-meter dash.
 
The MSU distance medley team also came across fifth overall in their respective dash.
 
Morehead State will commence outdoor action at the 49er Classic in Charlotte, N.C., on Friday March 15th and 16th.
