LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Morehead State softball squad dropped both games of a doubleheader matchup with Louisville on Tuesday afternoon at Ulmer Field.
The Cardinals' pitchers held the Eagles just five hits in both games as Morehead State dropped the opening game 8-0 in six innings before being defeated in game two 21-1 in five innings.
The Eagles' lone run in the second game was scored by freshman
Peyton Rose, who singled and then came across on a Cardinal error in the third inning of game two.
Freshman Laken Largent (0-9) was charged with the loss in game one while junior
Randi Hamilton (0-2) absorbed the game-two setback.
The Eagles returns to action on Saturday in the first day of the Morehead State Classic at University Field. The Eagles will play host to St. Bonaventure and Bowling Green in four games over weekend.
