MOREHEAD, Ky. – The Morehead State softball team opens Ohio Valley Conference play on Friday afternoon as they host Jacksonville State at University Field. The Eagles (2-17) will take on the Gamecocks (16-6) in a doubleheader slated to begin at 12:00 p.m. ET.
 
Morehead state was defeated by Wright State in a twin bill on Tuesday. Sophomore Alexis Strother collected two RBI and hit her third home run in six games for MSU in the two matchups against the Raiders.
 
Jacksonville State enters the matchup having won five-straight games. The Gamecocks earned wins two wins over Kennesaw State on March 13 before sweeping a three-game series at Jacksonville on Saturday and Sunday.
