MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Kylan Butler, a former standout at the University of Arizona, has joined the Morehead State football coaching staff as the wide receivers coach.
Butler most recently served as the offensive coordinator/wideouts coach at Glenville (W.Va.) State in 2018, while coaching the running backs in 2017. In 2018, Javon Butler led the conference in yards (116.4 per game) and was named all-conference. His running back Dominique Gibson ranked second in Glenville's conference in rushing in 2017.
Butler served as on offensive graduate assistant at his alma mater from 2014-17 and also coached Pueblo High School in Tucson, Ariz.
He appeared in 34 games at Arizona from 2010-13 and helped the Wildcats win the 2012 New Mexico Bowl and the 2013 Independence Bowl. He was a member of the student-athlete advisory committee and the co-founder and Vice President of Fist Uplifting Athletes while in college.
Butler earned his bachelor's degree in social behaviors and human understanding from Arizona in 2013 and earned a Master's Degree in psychology from there in 2016.
