Student-Athletes Afforded Summer Leadership Opportunities
MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State student-athletes are being afforded summer leadership opportunities throughout the country - and the world.

Many MSU student-athletes have or will be taking advantage of leadership trainings and competition through Athletes in Action.

Nine athletes recently completed the Ultimate Training Camp in Xenia, Ohio. Those attending were Olivia Lohmeier (volleyball), Sarah Black (women's golf), Ryan Hinson and Amber Schifano (rifle), Derrion Sanders, Cameron Barrett, Cortney Laye and DeVonte Adams (football) and Morgan Treser (soccer).

Basketball's Djimon Henson and James Baker attended the Captain's Academy in early May. Men's hoops' Jordan Walker and Justin Thomas are also slated to travel to East Asia to take part in games and leadership training in July and August.

Men's cross country and track athletes Jordan Carrington and Josh Grogan will soon be taking part in summer missions and activities here and abroad. Grogan is part of a leadership mission at Lake Tahoe, while Carrington will run with AIA track in Estonia.
