MOREHEAD, Ky. – After suffering back-to-back defeats, the Morehead State Soccer team will look to bounce back on Friday when they host Wright State at 6:00 p.m. ET at the MSU Rec & Wellness Intramural Field.
The Eagles will be honoring the community of Morehead and its hometown heroes by offering free admission to those who present a military or government I.D.
The first 100 fans in attendance will receive a free fro-yo as part of Fro-Yo Friday presented by Chickabiddy.
The match will be streamed on ESPN +. Live statistics will be available on MSUEagles.com.
MSU enters the match with a 1-4 overall record after dropping a heartbreaking double overtime match, 2-1, against Miami (OH) at home a week ago and falling on the road to Indiana, 5-0, on Sunday.
"We've regrouped this week and have had a great week of preparation," said Eagles' head coach
Warren Lipka. "Our young team took the loss to Miami pretty tough and is determined to keep improving and growing as a team. We're looking forward to getting back on our home turf and competing against a good Wright State team."
Wright State visits boasting a 4-1-1 record and is coming off its first loss of the season. The Raiders were defeated by Toledo on the road Sunday, 4-1. WSU has also faced Miami, defeating the Redhawks 1-0 on Aug. 25.
The all-time series advantage belongs to Wright State who has a 15-1 advantage. The Eagles lone win in the series came in a 3-1 victory on the road on Aug. 27, 2004.
