Getting to Know: Rifle Junior Erin Diehl
MOREHEAD, Ky. – This is a new series leading up to the beginning of the coming sports seasons that allows our fans to get to know our student-athletes. A different player will be featured in a story on their responses to a questionnaire given to all of our teams.
 
This edition is on rifle junior Erin Diehl.
 
Why did you choose to come to Morehead State?
Diehl: I chose Morehead State because of the beautiful campus and the amazing support the school offers to all students.
 
What is your favorite memory playing your sport?
Diehl: My favorite memory was winning the 2020 OVC Championships.
 
What is your favorite song and which artist sings it?
Diehl: Mr. Jones by Counting Crows
 
What is your favorite movie and/or TV show and why did you choose that movie?
Diehl: My favorite TV show is Chuck. This show is so lighthearted and funny that it's a great way to end a day. My favorite movie is Wonder Women. This movie is full of action that is always keeping you on your feet.
 
What is your favorite restaurant to eat at and what is your go-to meal there?
Diehl: My favorite restaurant would be Outback Steakhouse. I always get the lobster and steak deal; nothing could be better than that.
 
If you could have one superpower, what would that be and why?
Diehl: The ability to fly because then I could finally travel the world.
 
Who is your favorite professional athlete and what makes them your favorite?
Diehl: Matthew Emmons because he had such dedication and sportsmen ship in the rifle sport. He never gave up and worked hard to get to where he was.
 
What is your favorite spot to go to on campus or in town/region?
Diehl: My favorite spot of campus is around Eagle Lake in my hammock.
 
If you could time travel to any year/time period, what would you choose and why?
Diehl: October 12, 1810 in Munich, Germany. This was the time of the first Oktoberfest that is now a huge annual festival in Germany. It would be fun to experience the excitement of the world's largest Volksfest first hand.
