Ohio Valley Conference Announces 10-Game Conference Only Spring Soccer Schedule
SCHEDULE

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. –
The Ohio Valley Conference has released its regular season soccer schedule for the 2020 (Spring 2021) season, which was postponed from the fall to the spring over concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.

The schedule features 10 games played within the conference over a six-week period with an even split of home and road matches.

Teams are set to compete on Tuesdays and Fridays of each week. All MSU home matches will be played at Jayne Stadium this spring. Information on tickets and safety protocols will be available soon.

Morehead State's schedule begins on Tuesday, March 2 with a home game against Murray State at 3:00 p.m. ET and concludes with a road contest at Belmont on Tuesday, April 6 at 7:30 p.m. ET.

The field for this year's OVC Tournament will shrink to four teams as opposed to its regular eight due to ongoing pandemic protocols. The event will be held at a to-be-determined site from April 16-18.

Selections for a revised 48-team NCAA tournament will be made on Sunday, April 18. This year features 31 automatic qualifiers with 17 at-large bids. Championship dates for the tournament are scheduled for May 13-17.

"We, the players and coaching staff, are extremely excited about the spring soccer season," said soccer head coach Warren Lipka. "Of course we would love a few more matches, but to be able to compete for an OVC championship is the most important part. These women have worked hard in their COVID protocol, in training, and on campus. They deserve this time to compete."

The Eagles host Murray State, Tennessee Tech, UT Martin, Southeast Missouri, and Austin Peay while traveling to Eastern Illinois, Eastern Kentucky, SIUE, Jacksonville State, and Belmont.

All game times can be found in the link for the 2021 schedule listed above.
