MOREHEAD, Ky. – This is a new series leading up to the beginning of the coming sports seasons that allows our fans to get to know our student-athletes. A different player will be featured in a story on their responses to a questionnaire given to all of our teams.
This edition is on cheerleading second year Paige Ernst.
Why did you choose to come to Morehead State?
Ernst: I choose MSU because of the small town campus and the 48-time national champion cheer program that I get to be a part of.
What is your favorite memory playing your sport?
Ernst: The month and a half of two-a-days before competing at College Nationals! I love the bonds we make during that time and you really feel like you're a part of something special.
What is your favorite song and which artist sings it?
Ernst: Wild Child by Noodah05 with Lil Baby. It's a great pump-up song.
What is your favorite movie and/or TV show and why did you choose that movie?
Ernst: Big Brother! I love the competitions they compete in and how the contestants make life-long friends.
What is your favorite restaurant to eat at and what is your go-to meal there?
Ernst: Eat'n Park (from my hometown Pittsburgh, Pa.) and my go-to meal would be a turkey club with chips!
If you could turn into one known superhero or comic book character, who would that be and why?
Ernst: Superwoman because she shows the most "girl power" out of the rest!
Who is your favorite professional athlete and what makes them your favorite?
Ernst: T.J. Watt from the Pittsburgh Steelers because he is a great person on and off the field.
What is your favorite spot to go to on campus or in town/region?
Ernst: Head Strong Nutrition because I love their protein shakes!
If you could time travel to any year/time period, what would you choose and why?
Ernst: I would travel back to 2018-19 because there were a lot of good memories that I would love to relive!
