Getting to Know: Men's Golf Sophomore Blake Evans
MOREHEAD, Ky. – This is a series leading up to the beginning of the coming sports seasons that allows our fans to get to know our student-athletes. A different player will be featured in a story on their responses to a questionnaire given to all of our teams.

This edition is on men's golf sophomore Blake Evans.

Why did you choose to come to Morehead State?
Evans: I am from West Liberty which is only 30 minutes from campus. The people at Morehead State have been very welcoming and made it a fun atmosphere for me to spend my 4 years of college at.

What is your favorite memory playing your sport?
Evans: My favorite memory is getting to go to Florida with my teammates and compete in the George Washington match play tournament which was great for golf and getting to bond as a team.

What is your favorite song and which artist sings it?
Evans: Don't Close your Eyes- Keith Whitley

What is your favorite movie and/or TV show and why did you choose that movie?
Evans: Avengers Endgame. I have watched every single Marvel movie since they have come out and during the pandemic, I was able to go back and re-watch all 26.

What is your favorite restaurant to eat at and what is your go-to meal there?
Evans: Malone's- Petite Filet and a Lexingtonian Salad.

If you could have one superpower, what would that be and why?
Evans: The ability to be able to fly. If I could fly there would be no use to driving which is something that I hate doing and I could get places much faster.

Who is your favorite professional athlete and what makes them your favorite?
Evans: Tiger Woods, because he in my opinion is the greatest golfer and athlete to ever lived and was at the lowest point in his sport and came back to win the most famous tournament (Masters) at the age of 43.

What is your favorite spot to go to on campus or in town/region?
Evans: My favorite place in town is Hibachi Express.

If you could time travel to any year/time period, what would you choose and why?
Evans: The 1980s and 90s because I am a big NBA basketball fan and I would have loved to get to watch all those all-time greats play in what is arguably the most physical era in NBA history.
