MOREHEAD, Ky. -- All eyes in the Bluegrass State who belong to basketball fans will be focusing in on Morehead State's Johnson Arena Thursday night as the Men's Hoops Eagles and Eastern Kentucky tangle in a crucial Ohio Valley Conference matchup.
Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. ET following the women's contest. The game is presented by Citizen's Bank, and as always, fans can catch the game on ESPN+ or listen on WIVY-96.3 FM and MSUEagles.com.
The Eagles have won five straight home games and enter at 12-13 overall and 6-6 in the OVC. MSU is in sixth place right now as the conference race heats up toward March in Evansville, Ind. The Colonels own the identical overall mark but are 9-3 in OVC games and two games back of first-place Murray State.
Fans can still take advantage of the "I Love The Eagles" ticket deal, which is two tickets and a $10 concession voucher for as low as $15.
GAME NOTES
• Morehead State trails 101-87 in its longest running OVC series. But, the Eagles have had recent success against the Colonels, winning seven of the last eight meetings.
• Eastern Kentucky has not defeated Morehead State in Johnson Arena since the 2014-15 season.
• Senior guard
Jordan Walker has scored 1,418 points now in his career, ranking 17th on Morehead State's 1,000-point club list.

Jordan Walker also has drained 193 career three-pointers. He is now tied with Mark Majick (1993-96) for third place on MSU's career three-pointers made list. Walker also needs just 16 more successful free throws to move to 10th place on that career list.
• Senior guard
Djimon Henson has reached double figures in 11 of the past 15 games with three 20-point outputs in that span.
• Today's matchup features the top two freshmen rebounders in the Ohio Valley Conference. MSU's
Tyzhaun Claude ranks 11th overall at 6.3 per game. The Colonels' Michael Moreno is right behind in 12th at 6.0.
• Junior forward
James Baker needs just four more blocked shots to reach 100 for his career.
• Junior guard
Juice Thomas is the OVC leader in steals with 53. That figure is now tied for the 20th best single-season steal total in program history.
• The Eagles have seven games this season in which they committed 10 or fewer turnovers, in turn helping MSU rank No. 1 in the OVC in fewest turnovers per game (12.3). They'll face an EKU team leading the conference in forcing mistakes against opponents.
• Morehead State ranks in the OVC's top four in defensive rebounds. The Eagles get their hands on 27 defensive boards per game, just two per game behind OVC leader Belmont.
• The Eagles have only allowed two opponents to shoot better than 50 percent against them in a game during the 2019-20 campaign and have forced nine foes to shoot 40 percent or worse.
