MOREHEAD, Ky. – The Morehead State Softball team will host its first home games of the 2020 season on Wednesday afternoon when it welcomes Dayton for a two-game set at University Field. Due to potential inclement weather, game one's first pitch has been moved from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. ET.
The Eagles enter the midweek matchup with an overall mark of 6-8 for the season while the Flyers visit University Field sporting a season record of 6-12.
Last season, Morehead State dropped games in a doubleheader against Dayton at UD Softball Stadium on April 3 by scores of 6-5 and 8-1 despite a combined 4-of-6 effort at the plate for now sophomore
Peyton Slater.
Wednesday's game will note the first meeting between the Flyers and Eagles in Morehead since 2009 when MSU took a pair of games against UD in the Morehead State Comfort Inn Classic.
The 2020 home-opening matchup for the Eagles will be streamed live on ESPN+.
