MOREHEAD, Ky. – The Morehead State Women's Basketball program has received a National Letter of Intent from Moberly (Mo.) transfer guard Darryn Zeigler, head coach
Greg Todd announced on Thursday.
Zeigler, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, who attended Shaker Heights High School, helped Moberly to a 29-4 finish and a berth in the NJCAA Tournament in 2019-20. During the season, the 5-foot-11 ball handler averaged 7.5 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game.
"We're glad to have Darryn join our program," said Todd. "She played for a great JUCO program at Moberly. She's a long and athletic guard who shoots the ball well and can defend multiple positions."
Zeigler helped Moberly win the Missouri Community College Athletic Conference championship, along with the Region 16 regular season and tournament championships and also the Central District Championship.
Zeigler will be a redshirt sophomore with three seasons of eligibility remaining when she takes the court for Morehead State in the 2020-21 season.
