MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Very few programs in the nation can boast that they have literally been on top of their event for more than 30 years. For Morehead State Cheerleading though, it's a boast they can back up.
Starting in 1988, head coach Myron Doan began what would become a dynasty in the world of cheerleading. More than 30 years later and even with several new coaches, Morehead State cheerleading continues to win national titles at the UCA Nationals in Florida - Forty-eight (48) titles to be exact.
Today we look back at some memories of that first competition team in 1988, and we remember Doan, who passed away in 2014.
