MOREHEAD, Ky. -- May 3, 1979 was a special day for former Morehead State quarterback Phil Simms, who went on to be one of the New York Giants' most notable players and a Super Bowl MVP.
Simms surprised many by being selected as the seventh overall pick of the 1979 NFL Draft.
