#ThrowbackThursday: Volleyball's Bailey Nichol Sets Standard For Triple-Doubles With a Record Three in Her Career
MOREHEAD, Ky. -- In Morehead State's long and illustrious volleyball program history, only eight triple-doubles have ever been recorded, and former setter Bailey Nichol owns three of them.

Hailing from Normal, Ill., Nichol ran the offense from 2013-16, helping MSU win the 2013 OVC Tournament championship. In fact, while she wasn't the primary setter as a freshmen, Nichol stepped in during the championship match to hand out 33 assists and get three blocks as the Eagles defeated SIU Edwardsville for the trophy.

Nichol's first triple-double (double digit stat totals in three categories) came when she was a sophomore. On Oct. 1, 2014 against Eastern Kentucky in Wetherby Gym, Nichol piled up 12 kills and 12 digs and dished off 19 assists for the feat.

Just 10 days later, she did it again - this time against Southeast Missouri at home. She had 24 assists, 12 kills and 10 digs.

Her final triple-dip came when she was a senior in 2016. On Oct. 15, 2016 versus Eastern Illinois - this time on the road - Nichol reached the 60-assist plateau. She also had 11 terminations and 14 digs.

Nichol went on to record the ninth-best career assist total with 2,155. Following her collegiate days, she played professionally in Germany and the Czech Republic.
