EAGLE IMPACT VOTING INFORMATION

MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State Athletics, in conjunction with its Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, is excited to announce an educational voting registration and voting initiative.

Athletics encourages every eligible individual to register to vote, check their registration and be prepared to vote in this November's local, state and national elections. Athletics and SAAC are working to raise awareness of the importance of voting to the campus and community.

A website has been created to assist individuals with registering as well as absentee (mail-in) voting. All information on the site is non-partisan. MSU is also working in conjunction with the Ohio Valley Conference on this initiative, and the hashtag #OVCVotes can be utilized. In the coming days and weeks, a social media campaign will also be unveiled.

"It is important to vote because it is a way to actively make a change in your community," said Vaughn Taylor, Jr., a senior member of the Eagle football team.

Morehead State Athletics will not hold any official team activities on election day on Nov. 3 so that members of the teams, coaches and staff have the opportunity to vote or volunteer in voting activities in Morehead or their home communities.
