MSU Soccer Inks Five to 2021 Signing Class
MOREHEAD, Ky. – Morehead State Soccer is pleased to announce a five-member class to join the program in the fall, inking Emma Livingston, Jenna Setters, Amy McGimsey, Samantha Prather, and Avery Redmon to National Letters of Intent. These student-athletes will be freshmen for head coach Warren Lipka's team during the 2021-22 school year.

"We have a great group of ladies joining us this fall," said Lipka. "They will give us depth in the areas of the field that we need. They all have a great deal of high level club soccer that has brought them to this position. Each player brings a special talent to the soccer program."

Livingston, a forward from Bardstown, Ky., recently earned her place as one of the most prolific goal-scorers in the history of Bardstown High School soccer. After earning her 100th goal during her senior season, she finished her career with 112 goals, ranking in the top 50 in the history of Kentucky high school soccer and second all-time at BHS. She also added 46 assists in 74 matches throughout her four years. Livingston is a two-time 5th Region Player of the Year winner and was named First-Team All-State as a senior after making the second team as a junior.

Setters, originally from Liberty Township, Ohio, currently attends Cincinnati Country Day School, a powerhouse in Ohio soccer. As a starting forward on a two-time state champion, she scored 41 goals and earned 51 assists throughout her high school career. As a senior, she was named Miami Valley Conference Player of the Year along with being named First-Team All-City, First-Team All-Conference, Academic All-State and Academic All-City. She will play alongside her sister and former CCDS teammate, Katelynn Setters, on the Eagle roster in the fall.

McGimsey is a midfielder for Louisville Male High School. She was named First-Team All-Region as a junior and Second-Team All-Region as a senior. She is a two-time Golden Boot award winner and also received the Golden Ball award during her junior season. As a sophomore, she was named an All-Region Honorable Mention. She recorded 61 goals and 22 assists from her sophomore to senior year of high school.

Prather comes to Morehead State from Simon Kenton High School in Independence, Ky., where she was a four-year defensive starter on a team that won two regional titles and made the KHSAA Elite 8 her senior season. She finished her high school career with 24 goals and 22 assists while earning Second-Team All-State in her final year. Prather also made multiple all-region and all-tournament teams as well as being named Academic All-State Honorable Mention as a freshman and junior.

Redmon, previously a four-year starter at Eastern High School, is a midfielder from Louisville, Ky. She specialized as a set-up artist averaging more than one assist per match throughout her high school career along with an average of five goals scored per season. As a sophomore, she was awarded Team MVP and made the all-district team while being named Eastern's Offensive/Midfield MVP for her junior season.

There is already a sense of familiarity between the signees as both Setters and Prather were members of the Cincinnati United club team while Livingston, McGimsey, and Redmon all played for Racing Louisville FC.
