BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – The Ohio Valley Conference has announced alterations to the 2020-21 volleyball schedule.
In order to limit travel to multiple locations during the same weekend and give schools the most flexibility to complete the highest percentage of matches possible, the OVC Council of Directors of Athletics approved an updated schedule that now features 16 conference matches with back-to-back matches with the same opponent.
Matches will be contested on Sundays and Mondays. The first conference matchup is scheduled to take place on Sunday, February 7 and the regular season will conclude on Monday, March 29.
The NCAA will announce the selections for a revised 48-team bracket on Sunday April 4. This year's field will include 32 automatic qualifiers and 16 at-large bids. The finals are scheduled for April 23-25.
Teams will play in accordance with local regulations, NCAA guidelines, and supporting OVC standards.
Morehead State's 16-game slate sees the Eagles hosting Murray State (Feb. 14-15), Tennessee State (Feb. 28-March 1), Belmont (March 14-15), and Jacksonville State (March 28-19) while travelling to Eastern Illinois (Feb. 7-8), Austin Peay (Feb. 21-22), Tennessee Tech (March 7-8), and Eastern Kentucky (March 21-22).
Sunday home matches begin at 6 p.m. ET with Monday matches beginning at 2 p.m.
