MOREHEAD. Ky. --
Morehead State rifle continues to make history. The Eagles shattered three school records today versus Jacksonville State at Murray's Pat Spurgin Range and tied another program best.

JSU won the match 4686-4679, but the Eagles' total score set a school record. That mark was helped by another school record in Smallbore, where MSU shot 2323. In addition, junior Bryce Ward broke his own Smallbore individual record with a 589 and 35 center shots. And Morehead State tied its Smallbore Kneeling program standard with a 780.

Ward set a personal best for overall score today with an 1180. On top of his school record SB total, he shot a team-best 591 in Air Rifle.

The Eagles had five of the top six Smallbore finishers. Grace Weber shot a personal-best 582 (and also set a personal standard for overall at 1173). Katie Frye and Amber Schifano each fired 579, and Sally Reeke's 578 was her best-ever SB production.

In Air, Weber and Ward tied for team honors at 591, while Frye, Schifano and Danielle Vigil each carded 587.

Morehead State's next action comes Oct. 23 at Ohio State.
