MOREHEAD, Ky. –  Morehead State rings in the new year by hosting the Tennessee State Lady Tigers Saturday at Johnson Arena.

The Eagles are coming off a defeat at the hands of Eastern Illinois in a gritty effort from a shorthanded squad. Morehead State was without head coach Cayla Petree and only suited up eight players, but still received double-digit scoring efforts from Terri Smith, Jada Claude, and Tyler Moore. Petree is expected back on the bench for Saturday's contest.

Tennessee State comes into the game after picking up a dramatic 96-93 overtime victory over Tennessee Tech, thanks to late game heroics from their leader scorer, freshman Gia Adams, who hit a buzzer-beating half-court shot for the win.
