MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State rifle boasted the top eight individual aggregate scores, top seven Air Rifle totals and best three Smallbore scores Friday as the Eagles opened a weekend of hosting Georgia Southern twice by defeating GSU 4644-4532 at Button Range.

Junior Erin Diehl led the charge with the day's top aggregate (1170) and Air Rifle results (592), tying her season best for AR. 

In the Air portion of the match, junior Amber Schifano carded a 590, her season best, while sophomore Grace Weber totaled 587. Junior Katie Frye was not far back with a 584, and freshman Sally Reeke turned in her best score of her first college season with a 584. Sophomore Bryce Ward also shot a 584, tying his season and personal high, while freshman Andrew Morris was the fourth Eagle with a 584.

In Smallbore, Frye shot 572, and senior Ryan Hinson was close behind at 572. Reeke's 569 allowed her to shoot her best combined score of 1153.

The teams will line up again Saturday for another dual match, beginning at 8 a.m. ET.
