Scooping up 15 balls in Morehead State's second match with Murray State last Sunday, junior libero Allison Whitten became the 27th member of the Morehead State 1,000-Dig Club. Entering the match needing four digs to reach 1,000, she moved up several places on the career leaderboard, sitting 23rd in career digs entering the weekend.
Â
With 1,011 career digs, Whitten is the sixth player in program history to record 1,000 or more digs during the 25-Point Rally Scoring Era of collegiate volleyball (2008-present). She's the second to do so in as many seasons with former libero Danielle McCarson surpassing 1,000 career digs last season.
Â
Whitten's entry into the 1,000-Dig Club gives Morehead State its fourth active member of a 1,000-Club. With four active members, the 2020-21 season is the second consecutive season to feature four active members of a 1,000-Club.
Â
The 2020-21 season is also the first since 2008 to feature multiple members of the 1,000-Kill Club, a member of the 1,000-Dig Club, and a member of the 1,000-Assist Club as Whitten (Digs), sophomore setter Bridget Bessler (Assists), and senior outside hitters Olivia Lohmeier and Lauren Rokey (Kills) each qualify.

Â
With 1,233 assists during her career, Bessler ranks 13th in program history in career assists, entering the weekend needing 51 helpers to tie for 12th all-time. She is one of only seven players to reach 1,000 career assists during the 25-Point Rally Scoring Era.
