MOREHEAD, Ky. – Morehead State Soccer's 2021 Signing Class grew to seven student-athletes after Abby Manning and Allie Bush signed their National Letters of Intent to join head coach Warren Lipka's program.
 
"These ladies came highly recommended from their high school and club coaches," said Lipka. "We're once again getting players who have competed at a high level with success. They will fit perfectly with our group."
 
Manning, a native of Mt. Sterling, Ky., was previously a defender for Montgomery County High School where she was named KHSAA Female Soccer Athlete of the Year. She is also a two-time 10th Region Defensive Player of the Year, a two-time First Team All-Region, and a three-time All-District recipient. Manning excels in the classroom with a 4.06 GPA along with being named First Team Academic All-State for all four years of her high school career. She was also a member of Beta Club, Youth Salute, and National Honor Society.
 
Bush will make the transition from being a Cardinal to an Eagle as she comes to Morehead State from George Rogers Clark High School in Winchester, Ky. She was a member of a team that won the District Championship during all four of her years in high school while also claiming the Regional Championship in 2017, 2018, and 2020. Bush is a three-time First Team All-State recipient, two-time 10th Region Offensive Player of the Year, four-time First Team All-Region, and four-time First Team All-District. Throughout high school, she earned a 3.9 GPA while making Academic All-State. She, along with fellow 2021 signee Emma Livingston, made the 2020 United Soccer Coaches All-South Region team.  
 
Manning and Bush are long-time teammates for Lexington FC, one of the top club teams in the region. The team won the 2018 State Club Championship and was also a state finalist in 2017 and state semi-finalist in 2019.
