MOREHEAD, Ky. – Morehead State Soccer returns to its home pitch for the first time since its 1-0 win over UT Martin on March 16. Since then, the Eagles have dropped a pair to SIUE and Jacksonville State, respectively.
MSU is coming into the match with a sense of optimism after scoring its third goal of the season by way of
Nicole Palmer's shot to the back of the net in Friday's contest against JSU. The Eagles will be facing one of the OVC's best squads in Southeast Missouri as the Redhawks are tied for second place in the conference.

NOTABLE
• Morehead State is currently tied for third in the OVC in both saves (38) and saves per game (5.43).
• Before last Friday's match against Jacksonville State, senior midfielder
Katie Kiolbassa was the only Eagle on the roster to have played every minute of action this season. She lost that distinction after being subbed for in the first half before receiving a red card in the second.
•
Katie Quinn and
Colleen Swift lead MSU with nine total shots. The former is five shots away from tying her career-high for most shots in a season while the latter needs 16 more shots to tie her mark.
• Goalkeeper
Michelle Jerantowski's current GAA of 1.16 would be the third-best in program history in a single season. The junior earned her first career shutout in MSU's win over UT Martin on March 16.
• Jerantowski sits in sixth place in the OVC with 5.20 saves per game. She's also sixth in the conference with a 0.812 save percentage while being eighth with 26 total saves on the year.
• The Eagles are one of the most aggressive teams in the conference as they are currently tied for fourth in the OVC with 72 fouls while being tied for second with four yellow cards.
• Junior defender
Nicole Palmer was named to the 2020 OVC Soccer Preseason Player to Watch List for the second year in a row at the beginning of the season. She is currently fourth on the team with seven shots (four SOG) while being a key piece of MSU's defensive front.
• Palmer netted her first goal of the year with a shot that made it past the Gamecock goalkeeper in the 19th minute of MSU's 3-1 loss to Jacksonville State. It was her first goal since Oct. 11, 2019, vs. UT Martin.
