OMAHA, Neb. – Advancing to the second round of the NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championship for the first time in program history, Morehead State volleyball put forth a valiant effort against No. 8 national seed Florida before succumbing in straight sets.
Despite some opening set jitters, the Eagles (17-2) settled in the second and third sets using several rallies across the two sets to force ties or Florida timeouts. Ultimately, the Gators (20-3) took the match behind set scores of 25-14, 25-19, and 25-19.
